Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following posts related to major projects at the Kolonnawa Installation and Muthurajawela Terminal.
🔧 Post 01: Engineering Assistant (Mechanical)
📚 Qualifications:
- National Diploma in Technology — Mechanical (NDT); or
- Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (HNDE); or
- National Diploma in Engineering Sciences — Mechanical (NDES); or
- NVQ Level 5 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
💼 Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience in industrial construction projects
- Ability to read mechanical and fabrication drawings
- Knowledge of welding processes and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods
- Familiarity with API requirements for fuel storage tank construction
- Computer literacy in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Experience in petroleum terminals or tank farm construction is an added advantage
📌 Key Duties:
- Supervise, inspect, monitor and document mechanical activities for petroleum storage tank construction
- Monitor fabrication, erection, welding, pipeline and related activities per approved drawings
- Maintain site reports, logbooks and prepare progress reports
- Ensure compliance with CPSTL safety, work permit and HSE requirements
⏳ Contract Periods:
• 22 months — 6-Tanks Project
• 14 months — KHPP
• 19 months — 3-Tanks Project
🏗️ Post 02: Engineering Assistant (Civil)
📚 Qualifications:
- National Diploma in Technology — Civil (NDT); or
- Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering (HNDE); or
- National Diploma in Engineering Sciences — Civil (NDES); or
- NVQ Level 5 in Civil Engineering or equivalent
💼 Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience in industrial construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings
- Knowledge of surveying, levelling, concreting and construction quality control
- Computer literacy in AutoCAD and MS Office
📌 Key Duties:
- Supervise tank foundations, ring walls, bund walls, drainage, roads and paving construction
- Inspect concrete works, reinforcement, formwork and earthworks
- Maintain site records and prepare progress reports
- Ensure contractor compliance with CPSTL safety and HSE requirements
💰 Salary: Rs. 131,770 + Rs. 5,250 + (Variable Allowances)
📋 Post 03: Project Manager
KHPP — Kolonnawa to Harbour Pipeline Project
📚 Qualifications:
- BSc Engineering Degree (Mechanical) from a recognized university
- Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in onshore/offshore petroleum pipeline projects
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC Silver Book / EPC/EPCC contract conditions
- Proficient in Primavera P6 (preferred) or MS Project for project planning
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English
⭐ Added Qualifications:
- Chartered/Corporate Engineer status (CEng, IESL or equivalent)
- PMP certification from PMI or equivalent
- Postgraduate degree in Project Management / Pipeline Engineering
💰 Salary: Rs. 273,845 + Rs. 5,250 + (Variable Allowances) | ⏳ Contract: 14 months (KHPP)
