Overview

The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education of Sri Lanka has announced applications for 01 Undergraduate Scholarship offered by the Government of the Republic of Serbia under the "The World in Serbia" Project for the academic year 2026/27. Selected students will first study the Serbian Language in 2026/27 and commence their undergraduate studies in Serbia from 2027/28.

🎯 Eligibility Requirements

✅ Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka

✅ Must be below 21 years of age as at 26 June 2026

✅ At least 3 passes at G.C.E. A/L 2025 in the Physical Science stream

✅ Good knowledge of English — minimum "C" pass in English at G.C.E. A/L

✅ Must be in good health and willing to live in Serbia during study period

✅ Must not be currently registered as an internal student at a Sri Lankan state university (UGC)

🗣️Free Serbian language preparatory classes (online + intensive course on arrival)

🎓Full tuition fee waiver

💰Monthly scholarship allowance of RSD 18,000

🏠Free accommodation and food at student-standard institutions

🏥Mandatory healthcare insurance for recipients below 26 years of age
